Thank you for your interest in serving with 'God Sent Prison Ministries Inc.' at our various adult facilities. Our volunteer opportunities are available at a few correctional facilities managed by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department (LASD) and Metropolitan Detention Center (BOP).

All volunteers must complete the 'God Sent Prison Ministries Inc.' application and complete an online orientation with Andie Alama-Smith prior to serving at the institutions. Volunteers moving to the next step will undergo background clearance, fingerprinting, phone interview with the Volunteer Coordinator or Senior Chaplain and will be expected to attend the mandatory orientation at the institution.

 

Volunteers will serve and be accompanied by our Founder & Pastor Andie Alama-Smith at the adult facilities.  You can get involved with the following programs:

  

• Sunday Services​

• Bible Studies​

• Prayer and Counseling​

• Resources Distributing​

• Re-entry Support​

• Encouragement Cards or Prophetic Words for Staff and Inmates

If you’re interested in volunteering, please submit your information on our contact page and also email info@godsentprisonministries.org with the following:

• Name of your church home and how long you have attended

• Two (2) reference letters from leaders (pastor, elder, other leader) at your church

• Doctrinal statement of what your church teaches

• Written or typed testimony of how you came to know Jesus Christ

• Color photocopy of your drivers license
